Harvard review
Some literary reviews seem to be just a platform for the critic's own views, and many times it seems they haven't read any more than the book's flaps. Then there are reviewers who actually read the book they are critiquing, who take the time to understand the people involved and can piece together what the author has attempted. That's what Anita Snow did for Revista, a Harvard journal of Latin America. If you'd like to get a true sense of The Cubans, read this, and thank Anita. https://revista.drclas.harvard.edu/book/cubans-ordinary-lives-extraordinary-times?fbclid=IwAR1q6urk0pSA3eT0QwdjNt_yS7V3NolgyM9eatkt58gmThyY6trelA5Mpzg#
